We waterproof walls.
In our area walls leak or become damp because of deterioration, cracks or sometimes just because of exposure to sea spray or wind driven rain.
We'll start by undertaking a thorough inspection to determine the source of the leaks or damp. Once we're confident we know why your wall is wet we'll propose a solution.
The exact solution is dependent on the cause of the damp or leaks, the material that the wall is made from and if we can get access to the outside of the wall.
Our process generally involves:-
- Removing any loose or damaged plaster.
- Bagwashing the walls with a waterproofing material as an undercoat.
- Plastering the walls with a waterproof plaster.
If there is rising damp we'll drill and inject a waterproofing cream to create a new damp proof course.
It takes about 2-4 weeks for the plaster to cure. After that we'll prepare and paint.
