We waterproof basements.
We start by carrying out a thorough inspection to determine why your basement is damp or leaking. Once we know this we'll present a solution for your approval.
Our process for waterproofing a basement is dependent on why it's leaking and what materials it's made from. But, generally it involves:-
- Removing any old waterproofing materials that have deteriorated or become loose.
- Removing any loose or flaking paint.
- Pressure-cleaning the concrete floor slab and walls.
- Sealing any construction joints.
- Drilling into the walls to inject a sealant to create to prevent rising damp.
- Sealing the walls using suitable products. Concrete walls are normally sealed with the strong and flexible HyperFlex ArmTec system. Brick walls are sealed with a special brick and slurry system.
It takes about 6 weeks for the treatment to cure completely and it can then be painted in the colour of your choice.
